[Archery] PvM Question - Attack "Power"

Here's my Template, aiming for 110 Arch, 100 on Anatomy, Tact.

Arch - 103
Anat - 96.8
Heal - 65.9
Tact - 97.3
Chiv - 75.6
Resist Spell - 100
Fishing - 100 (I like to fish, shhh)

On low armor monsters, I'm hitting 30-40 after Consecrate Weapon. On "boss" types (Shadowlord Manifestations) I'm hitting them for maybe 20, usually in the high teens. Thankfully, I'm doing enough damage to get loot, but only if I get to the boss really quick after the spawn. More than 5 1- secs up, and I'm shooting for nothing.

What am I doing wrong with what I have to hit so low? Gear is:

Brightsight Lenses
Rune Beetle Carapace
Crafted Arms - MI 7, MR 2, LMC 5
Crafted Hands - MI 6, HPR 2, LMC 5
Crafted Neck - Sta 5, MI 4, LMC 5
Ring - HCI 12, Resisting Spells 10 (useless right now I know)
Bracelet - Int Bonus 3, HCI 8, DCI 10, LMC 5
Fey Leggings
Quiver of Infinity
Bow - HSL 30, HML 33, HLL 33, Luck 76, SSI 10, LR 20. 100% phys damage

First, you would greatly enhance your damage by dropping resist and adding bushido for honor and lightning strike. Second, you want at least 40 damage increase on your bow (and at least 30 ssi). Third, if you want to add damaging increasing items, try stormgrips on your hands and light of the way reading glasses (or spirit of the totem for strength). Fourth, if you want to reliably hit SLs and other "boss" types (e.g., peerless, champs), you're going to have to bring archery to 120. Finally, you seem to be really concerned with defense chance increase (its on your jewels and legs), which doesn't help you much in PvM. I'd suggest legs with better resists, mr, and lmc, as well as damaging increasing jewels.

Wouldn't that kind of put me at risk fighting magic monsters? Harder hits, paralysis, etc? I don't wanna be paralyzed while some monster's hard hitting "friend" swoops in for the kill...

With all the mana regen I have (currently 8) could I avoid HML on the bow for more favorable damage stats?

Keep Resist and use a soulstone to take Fishing on and off, which you need to replace with Bushido. Get jewels with DI, use Stormgrip or similar gloves, a bow with at least 30 SSI and DI, Mace & Shield glasses instead of Brightsight lenses, bring Chiv back down to 75 (that's all you need), and get Tactics and Anat up to minimum 100 as you get a bonus to damage at GM. This is the template that I use on my archer:

Archery 120
Bushido 120
Tactics 115
Anatomy 100
Resist 90
Healing 100
Chiv 75

That sounds good, too. Though, I still prefer spirit of the totem or light of the way for PvM. Matter of preference, I spose.

It's difficult to go without HML bows and be a good archer.

Bow should have:
1. DI at least the min. of 35 to be plausible. Don't see that on your current bow.
2. HML at least 30
3. HLD (if no mace and shields)
4. HLA (if you have mace and shields)
5. Obviously SSI. Over 30+ is good for any bow. Quicker you hit, the quicker you leech back mana.

Could throw in HSL and HCI but I assume you will have capped HCI and can adjust to your situation whether you need HSL or not. HML is almost non-negotiable.

That sums it up really for PvM. Hit velocity and hit spell are nice to have, but not needed and the above should take priority. Use slayers when you can. Less arrow cost and the mob dies faster.

As an extra note, I would at least suggest 115 archery. You really should aim for 120 in order to have best chance to hit. Everything falls in place when you can place a hit on an archer. Everything won't, when you can't.

Other preferences will depend on your suit setup.

Ok, I got the stormgrip gloves last night, along with a +25%DI bracelet. Best bow I've been able to find so far has 30-something HML, 20 SSI, and about 40 DI. I'm hitting the SLs for 28-30 using EoO and Consecrate, so it's a tad bit better.

My tactics and anatomy are both slowly rising...is there any perfered method to get those up to 100 faster than just going around shooting stuff?

For Tactics and Anat I'd suggest heading to Ilsh and taking on the Titans & Cyclops near the Honesty gate. They're good to get you to whatever level you want to finish them.

Connor, I went over there, and to tell ya the truth, I had fun, especially with the occasional paragon spawn tossed in....until the paragon titan showed up. Owwie.

Anywhere in Tram or Tokuno that offer similar gains, but without having to worry about getting jumped by paragon casters? Even in their normal form Titans kinda hurt.

You could try the Daemon temple. The 2 Daemons that spawn on the top would be good for ya. You just have to watch out for any dragons or greater dragons that are around, and lure them away so you don't have to worry about them. Or, you could go into the Titan room at that same spot in Ilsh and lure the Titans down into the hallway on the opposite side of the entrance to it, which would leave just the Cyclops spawning in there. That would probably be your best bet, just make sure to have orange petals and some pots handy for when you're luring so you can absorb the damage you'll take while you're luring the Titans out.
