Puzzles and Keys - Much Hate

Ok...just wanted to scream it in game but there are no global channels. I absolutely despise having to do puzzles and get keys in order to access parts of the game. Its just a pain trying to do all that then play. Heck dont have that much time.

Believe me, you are not alone but evidentally it appeals to some (and it does echo the original days of Ultima). In the end these are areas that will become completely dead, as those that do like them will soon tire of them while the rest of us consider them mindless obstacles and will avoid them completely and later say, "Stygian Abyss? Never bothered with it, never went inside, because it was too much hassle."

Still, it's there for those that want such things.

Puzzles are fun. It is not for everyone but its nice to have something new to be busy.

You only need 3 keys to access the Abyss. I just did it in 15 minutes...on Atlantic (read:crowded). Surely you can sacrifice 15 minutes to gain access to the new areas.

Personally, I don't like puzzles like these. But they do feel like Ultima, and I'm glad they are in it for that reason. And it's a whole lot better than the boredom of other games.

Mini games are nice when your bored and struggling to find something to do.

With all the new stuff being added, you could save it for times like that.

As for the entrance quest, the walk thru has been up for a few days now.


Or like someone else said, " don't do it then". Find something you dont hate and do that.

O.k. for those of you who don't like the puzzles don't do them. There are some of us gamers who thoroughly enjoy the puzzles, riddles, clues, and hunts. There are also some of us who do not read the spoiler thread and figure this stuff out on our own because we love the puzzles. *gasp* Really? yeah really.

From one of the puzzler happy players, I am super excited to see the new puzzles. No I have not figured it out yet and no I don't know if I'll get anything worth while for my troubles but then again, that's not why I do puzzles. I just enjoy saying, "Oh yeah I got that XYZ from this puzzle deep in Abyss one day."

I may never be a PVP goddess. I may never be able to get all the keys for Travesty because honestly that isn't what I love. My love is the storyline with the puzzles included. This is what Ultima was before it was Ultima Online.
