I am wanting to create a rooftop telescope.

Ideas? Suggestions? Possibilities?

House placement tool seems like it'd make a perfect telescope, and maybe a stool or brazier for the legs? You could add a small tinkered gear or two, maybe, and a jewel (diamond?) for the eyepiece. Just a thought - don't know if it'd work well with the way everything sits.

What is the scope? (Pun intended). If you are wanting an observatory class scope within a viewing tower/dome...that is a different prospect altogether from the teensie tinkered splyglasses.

best bet is the tower observatory idea...curved stone walls, blue bagball for lens...I'd google a pics of them to get a better idea what to use to mimic it.

I think you might be able to do something with the cannon anniversary gift. Unfortunately, the top of the globe of Sosaria is probably too small for the observatory dome, although it might be worth trying out.
