Greetings Everyone,
By approximately 6:00pm ET 1/24/2017 we will be pushing an update of Publish 96 to TC1. Publish 96 is full of new and exciting features, bug fixes, and new content so make sure you check out the full patch notes here and send us any feedback you have here. Please continue to send in feedback, especially on the new Doom artifact properties as we look forward to an Origin, Izumo, and Baja release this Thursday.
In addition to the server side changes based on feedback and bug reports, we will be putting out a new client to resolve the following issues:
  • Fixed an issue where approaching names would not display properly in the Classic Client.
  • Resolved a crash in the Classic Client when selecting a full screen resolution that is less than the gameplay window size.
  • Resolved an issue where some block tiles were not the correct height, which could cause collision and rubber banding issues.
  • Fixed issue where the evening gown was not displaying the correct gump art.
  • The circle of transparency is now centered when game window size is changed.
  • We are working to resolve the issue with new gameplay window sizes when using Korean language support in a future publish.

What exactly does his line mean? Is this better loot chance on the DF or all of the gauntlet monsters or what?

I take it as instead of a hat of the magi dropping in your pack, you will get this prized item dropped in your pack.

Why a random lesser artifact? Why can't it be a Legendary?
I would guess that it can be any level between lesser and legendary artifact, just will always be prize (not antique).

By the way, anyone have a good definition of "proc"?

Proc is a common term used primarily in game programming to refer to an event triggered under particular circumstances. For example a particular weapon (that hits many times) might have a 10% chance on each hit to apply a special effect, such as poison damage.

By the way, devs, thanks for posting a patch notes for the patch; we had a number of patches recently without any notes... I'm hoping the notes are back to stay. (Side note, it'd be extra nice if you went back to including the new client version #(s) in the notes.)

Just out of curiosity, why don't the full screen options at least match the game window options?
It doesn't really make sense, that if you want to go FS, you have to stick with 1024x768, making the two new higher GW sizes completely obsolete in that mode.
And I'd also add 1600x900 & 1920x1080 then as well to fullscreen. (might want to try out the CC for a while, just for nostalgia reasons ;) but 1280x720 would also be sufficient for that)

For some extra info, proc is short for process, meaning the weapon just processed it's extra ability which has a % chance to happen. Not sure why process was the word used originally but proc is very much entrenched now.
