Restarted my client cuz i had some graphical glitches....just to find out i have to patch a large file....

Here is what i found of it at uo.com:

The 7.0.3.0 Client Update has been published to Test Center.

Please note that this client is 336 MB in size. While this is a larger than normal patch for legacy clients, we have modified the system so that future patches involving animation data can be smaller. We apologize for this temporary inconvenience.

Bug Fixes

* Increased Navery’s hitpoints
* Fixed an issue in Despise at the champ spawn where creatures were spawning under the water.
* Fixed an issue with the 2nd year Anniversary bag, which had the wrong TID was being applied.
* Fixed an issue with a few of the T2A Pumpkin Patches.
* Retouched the Retouching Tool.
* Fixed an issue with the Rotworm stew not being consumed when used.
* Removed a sinkhole on Fire Island which was blocking access to players’ houses.
* Retouched the Art on the 12th Anniv cake.
* Fixed an issue that would not allow players to summon ethereal Reptalons or Hiryus in a house.
* Fixed the missing floor piece from Tomas O’Neerlan’s toyshop.
* Fixed an issue with Unraveling which allowed relic fragments from certain items.
* Fixed an issue with the color maze that allowed players to bypass the maze.
* Players can now use Mortal strike attack with a soul glaive.
* Fixed an issue with several cave entrances that were blocking movement.
* Fixed an issue with players being able to drop items into the backpack of their mirror images.
* Removed a debug message when watering plants.
* Players are no longer able to destroy Skull Totems in players houses.
* Reinstated the web attack with Navrey, webs will now decay properly.
* Fixed an issue with the death animation with the black cow in the enhanced client.
* Promotional race tokens will now be blessed.
* Fixed an issue with certain hued snakes having the “Oak” tag in their names
* Made various materials stackable:
o Hollow Prism
o Barrel Taps
o Barrel Hoops
o Jeweled Filigree
* Prism of light tickets will no longer be destroyed if placed inside a sub-container.
* Fixed an issue with the line of sight on the Ogre Lord Bridge in Despise.
* Fixed several wearable layering issues.
* The pillars in Navrey's lair can now be activated when their switch is clicked in the correct order. But beware of falling rocks

Enhanced Client

* Shard Selection
o 'Help me pick a shard!’ option added to assist users in recommending a shard based on location.
o Updated the Latency column to show a graphical display and mouse-over values
o Added a Population column
* The in-game Atlas is now resizable using the dragable handle located on the lower-right hand corner.
* Fixed issues with patches of terrain not loading correctly during travel.
* Fixed several client crashes

Which client? Also are you using the Client.exe file or the UO.exe file?

I have yet to see the EC patch.

I guess they _WANT_ imbuing to be useless You basically have to start from a blank weapon with damage types the way you want it to many any decent super slayers. I used my bard w/1750 luck and I still don't get exactly what I want.

With all the layoffs I just have to ask one question to the devs:

I had just upgraded to 6 megs on dsl and with this patch taking an hour to download, makes me wonder about my ISP, I think I'm back on dial up again.

ok it's been 4 hours of trying to down load that patch...EA it's time you guys put a new disk out.

This must be the way EA is going to get rid of it's players that use Dial up!!!

Took aprox 5 mins to download and apply the patch in the Enhanced Client

i never get patches untill they go live.. sometimes it messes up everything.
run client.exe directly then you wont have any issues..

i agree about this stupid relic issue.. right now as it is i might get 1 maybe 2 for doing extreme things like killing the sa dragon

thats too much effort for something that you LOSE when you fail..

Exactly the feeling I'm getting right now. Three hours, and only 63 mb - and it's nothing to do with my connection. While this slug marathon was crawling alone, I was able to download a 9.6mb file from elsewhere in under a minute.

Yes, this patch will take me hours to do. When I left to have lunch with a friend, I started it.... 4 hours later I have 62 MB done. Yayyy!! LOL. I wish I were kidding.

Please explain the relic fragment change? Have we been nerfed out of making them ourselves again or have certain artifacts been removed from the list? It's getting ridiculous, may as well just remove them from the game.

Barrel Taps and Barrel Hoops stackable but not Barrel Staves or Barrel Lids? These things always seem to get half-done.

Wearables Layering Fix, please elaborate? I don't want to have to sift through every wearable combo to work out what works now and what doesn't anymore.

FYI: You messed up Enhanced Client User Interface Scaling, it now applies whether the box is checked or not.

I have been downloading the patch for a good two and a half hours now, about 2/3 of the way done. I wouldn't be surprised if the sluggish speed was coming from everyone updating at once. I guess they could call it Ultima Offline tonight.

Received the New Large Mega Patch late this afternoon. Wondered why so late? Because I am in Canada West Coast?

LOG IN: All characters have lost their macros.

LOG OUT: Message reads "Couldn't open file for writing: (drive: Program files/EA games/subscription/account name/character name"

Has this happened to anyone else?

When this happened once before, writing new macros didn't help because the files wouldn't remember the macros. - - to do with a patch regarding 3D named "Dawn-something".

My usual way of handling computer problems worked again. Rebooted the computer a few times and then when that didn't work, turned the computer off, hoping it would heal itself overnight.

It did. Go figure!

You might wanna run a scandisk....
Infact I would put another hard drive in that system and start copying partitions. It could be your hard drive is about to fail.
That could be why you're getting intermittent problems reading files on the disk
