right so im a new player here and i am still using the trial account i intend to turn it into a full account once the time runs out, however the publish 58 notes say that i am not able to use power scrolls, what if i have already used them? will the effects still be in place or do i have to buy new ones

Unless I misunderstand your question, the easiest answer would be to log in and look at your caps, wouldn't it?

If you go to the skills window, there is an option to "show caps" (exact location depends on which client you are using). This will allow you to see the maximum skill.
