I need to put out some good energy today after some nasty business is bringing me down with all the other lousy issues going on right now. One being the endless painful wait on a frightening medical test I had on Friday. Got to love it.
Anyways… I know we have item bless deeds from the current 2011 Spring Clean Up currently going on, but those are still quite expensive… and insurance is your smartest cheap way to make sure you don’t loose your valuables.
Two big things are going on right now…
One, the giant turkeys… some innocent victims are being dragged into unwanted battles along with those actually willing.
The second, this mass change in Dungeon Shame is seeing many people getting trapped in remote areas by overpowering beasts.
I mean… this can really happen anyplace in the game world… but it seems to me that there is a rash of people loosing very valuable items in thanks to failing to insure them. Some of us have everything covered… and forget to add something new, part of our permeate equipment package. That happened to me a little bit ago… loosing a dread flute and it was almost impossible to replace. Not dead-impossible.
Someone I know was killed in someplace very remote… didn’t call to see if I could help, as he normally does… then was unable to get back to his body in time, then cursing a blue streak because he lost a very valuable tunic. He’s always changing his outfits around… then forgets to check the insurance. I have him the standard “I told you so” speech set to mild. Not 3 days later… he as the same thing happen with another character! I forget what he lost… but it was another clear case of “should have checked”. “I told you so” speech set to mild… with laughter that time.
So, please… everyone. Before heading into the thick of it… check your gear. It will save you a lot of headache.
