Just an FYI, mostly for the benefit of shard newcomers. I had an extra set of crystal and corrupted crystal portals mouldering in a bankbox, so I set them out yesterday at Margrette's defunct shop in northeast Zento and made them accessible to anyone. You probably have to step on the house steps to be able to see them. (The white one's for towns and moongates; the blue one is for dungeons.)
I've been considering trying to reopen the shop, but have almost no crafting resources to work with at the moment. It's turned into a long slow road replenishing it myself because I have almost no gold to speak of and need to keep what I do have to be able to buy back the few LRC suits I still own if my characters get PK'd. But maybe one of these days I'll get it opened again and be able to provide cheap basic necessities for newcomers. I used to sell cheap imbuedLRC suits, some with properties I could imbue with the more readily available ingredients, as well as unimbued exceptionally crafted gargoyle suits and jewelry; full spellbooks, empty BOD and runebooks; butchers war cleavers and a few other useful aids like bolas, trapped boxes, shurikens, machetes and acid rope; all kinds of furniture and house add-ons, including soul forges and the newer Gothic and Rustic items; plants, seeds, and natural dyes; repair and alteration deeds of all types; tinkered lights, glass items, and similar crafted deco items. Nothing wildly expensive, just stuff that could help new people get up and running. I gave up on the shop late last year though when nothing was selling, maybe because of the shop's location (you can't reach it from guard zone). I'd really like to open it again though, because without a shop, I really don't have a compelling reason to stick around on Siege as I don't PvP and don't have a big guild to back me up on PvM stuff (Margrette's an emissary in the "old" NEW guild and the rest of my gals, all poorly equipped PvM or crafter support characters, are in a dinky guild with the 4H tag.)
Anyway, in the meantime while I figure out if it makes sense for me to reopen the shop, feel free to use the portals. And if you want to be friended to be able to use the dye tubs inside or the lockpick training boxes, just drop me a PM. A friend cleared the access lists on all my houses after I quit playing back in December and didn't think I'd be returning. I've added a few new people I've run into to the list, but it's looking pretty skimpy compared to what it once was. If you were on the list once and would like to be friended again, just drop me a PM.
