Well, I strongly urge you to err on the side of 'less is more,' as way to much of the new content recently is geared for uber-kitted twink templates with tons of time on their hands. Think less L4 Covetous and more L1 or L2 of Shame.
I suggest you try to court the crafters. Trade Orders say merchant to me, not just warriors. Make crafting skills not weigh anything when spawning the mobs, this a "weak" crafter will get relatively easy things.
But saying that its not for crafters and then rewarding crafting resources is... illogical.
200K is a decent amount of gold! Once you reach a crate of 5 items will you always get one?
