provoed monsters and enemy of one

It seems i can no longer use enemy of one on a monster when it is provoed onto another ?

I have had trouble with enemy of one.

Wind Ele is orange from enemy of one.

I recast before the spell runs out. Wind ele goes gray. I hit it. Stays gray. Damage stays low. It moves. Still gray.


I recast for 2nd time and strike it and it is orange again.


This has been new.

Me too. I believe disco causes the same trouble now as well.

Nope it just drops Petra is not that we recast it. It just flat dropped I put it in the bugs forum. When I cast it it would only last for 5 to 7 seconds before droping I have 100 chiv on the char I tested it on and 20k Karma it should be lasting far longer then 7 seconds.

Have you tried after it goes gray to close the health bar then re-open a new one to see if it stays the same color?

I used to have the issue when my EoO would wear off before the new changes and the bar would stay gray after I recasted it and hit the target. I just change health bars and it be orange again.

Yes I tried that multiple times. The issue seems to be how the code is recognizing proved and discoed monsters and not with EoO.

I am enemy of one to a monster in shame then a bard comes and does disco/provo and I am no longer enemy of one to the same monster I was hitting the whole time. I am forced to cast it to turn it off then cast it again to TRY to become enemy of one to it again(Sometimes it just wouldn't let me become enemy of one to that monster after a bard messes with it).

This above, at least, sounds like it's intentional, since EoO is now a toggle spell and if you used it prior to it running out it should toggle off.

Bard bug is interesting, though.

i havnt noticed this.

ill go out right now on my disco archer and give it a try.
though i was out last night and didnt notice anything.

could not reproduce this at all.

went out on my disco archer.
discoed stuff, EoO, killed it.

went to a couple different places in both tram and fel side.
then went to shame.

had no issues what so ever.

I was using EoO on monsters that a guildmate of mine was provoing and discoing, everytime I EoO and atacked the monsters I got the msg that I was doing some 13% DI to my guildmate, as if it was triggering the pvp version of EoO against my guildmate. It never targeted the actual monster, just my guildmate so EoO only lasted about 8 seconds.

Retested and thats what was happening to me. It apears that it has more to do with the provoke then the disco. Also Poo I think it might have had something to do with the fact that it was another char discoing. Its going to be fun finding the exact edges of this bug:banana:.

The toggle thing is intended.

I noticed the effect of EoO only lasting seconds too. That vanished once I trained Chiv from 70 to 120. Can't say when exactly. Prolly around GM.

This Provoke/Enemy of One problem has been going on since the Queen Zhah quests, never changed. Cast EoO on bard provoked monster and EoO goes away, cast again, stays a few seconds, goes away. Been this way for long time, lotsa complaints, as usual, nuthin' happens.
Disco does not do the same thing for me, EoO works as intended on discorded monster.

Enemy of One will now work against Players and Pets. The damage increase cap will be significantly reduced and apply ONLY to the player or Pet being attacked. Damage received from all other sources will be increased by 30% while this ability is in effect versus a player or pet. Duration is capped at 8 seconds for PvP.

When a bard provokes something, it seems to be counting the bard as the owner and the creature as a pet.


So technically I guess since a bard is provoking the monster it is under his/her control and EoO is recognizing it as a pet.

Intended or Bug? No idea.

But my guess is thats whats goin on.
