Proposed Location for New Gardener's Toolbox

Dear fellow decorators, as you might have read, Publish 64 that is now on Test Center includes a container that people can use to make their old seeds stack. The developers decided to put this handy container right smack dab in the middle of a nice flower bed behind the Nujelm Palace.

While I like the idea of the toolbox because I do, in fact, have some old seeds that don't stack, I think there has to be a better location for this toolbox. I think this particular flower bed is occasionally used for in-game weddings. I do not know if there is an identical container in the same place on the Fel facet and I'm too lazy to jump on a boat again on TC1 to go take a look.

What say you about this location? If you also think the developers could pick a better location for the toolbox, could you please submit your feedback on the official UO site or at least put a comment in the thread in U.Hall about Publish 64? I just don't think the toolbox will see that much use after the initial rush to convert non-stacking seeds to stacking ones, so it will end up sitting there abandoned for a long time and, in my opinion, marring what could be a nice site for a wedding or other festive gathering.

wondering why they used what is essentially a two sided box.... thought it was gonna be one of those little boxes

to your question/observation, yes, that really should be moved..... might be nice to take something like a jewelry shop and turn half of it into a florist

(edit ~ thought of a question..... if you drop seeds in there, can someone else take them out?)

At the moment, the toolbox doesn't seem to be working at all. Can't drop anything into it and double clicking on it just brings up the big ugly message. To boot, the message doesn't seem to fade either....just stays on your screen.

Can just picture someone deciding to go ahead with a gathering in that location and people being jerks and constantly clicking on the toolbox to keep the message in the air. They need to put it somewhere else and not ruin that spot with it.

The Nujelm bank would of been a better place to put it. That way if the bag falls to the floor you can pick it up, and place it in your bank box.

id think it wouldnt work on test cuz the seeds u get there should stack...

but i have to agree , that pic is to pretty an area to mess it up with that big chest, by a bank would be better as Michelle said

Why would this be located in Nujelm at all? I thought the point of the decorated banks in Brit was to get people back there? At the very least it should be in a city that has a normal moongate.

i agree with flora - i was thinking somewhere outside or inside brit bank would be nice.

I like the idea of putting the box in one of the less frequented cities. If I remember, I'll try to scout out a potential location.

I'd at least like it in a city where I can get to it without running across half the continent.

I like the idea of adding a florists' shop to some of the towns. Florists could take over the duties of selling pitchers of water, plant bowls, scissors/clippers and perhaps "floral arrangements" or other garden-like decor. Yew in particular would benefit from using some of those randomly scattered empty farmhouses, but I could see it working very well in other cities as well. Why not put the box in Moonglow, or in Britain? If we want more people to visit cities other than Luna it's a great idea to start with incentives in the bigger, more populated cities... I don't know anyone who regularly visits Nujel'm, and the gardner's toolbox being there wouldn't change things.

Why not the rebuilt Magincia? The Ultima wiki even shows a greenhouse and flower market as part of New Magincia:

Nastia: Love it! ...that's if they ever decide to rebuild Magincia, though. Seems like they're so caught up in adding new content that they'll probably forget all about poor little Magincia. *shakes fist* It was such a lovely city.
