Problem with patching/installing SA

I can't seem to get the SA Classic Client onto my laptop with Vista sp2.

It downloads okay, the only problem there seems to be when I hit "run" after it finishes downloading from the site it takes 10mins to over an hour to begin installing. Also, after it installs I have to go into my C drive to find it, it does not put a link onto my desktop or programs menu.

However, the client does not patch successfully. After around 3mins of patching:

I cannot press OK so Cancel is the only option.

Any help on this?

I wouldn't bother trying, SA Open beta finishes today.

Did you start client with Run as Adminstator? If not , it won't patch.

Ah ha! Running it as an administrator worked, thank you. It will be good to know so when SA is released; I may have the same problem.
