problem with gem of salvation?

i got one n died few min later (its blessed!! it asked to rez me, i said no. got a healer rez n it was gone??
it poofs yes or no on rez? if so why is it blessed?

It's probably blessed to ensure it doesn't drop to your corpse (and so is there to activate when it detects you're a ghost).

As to whether consumption-on-any-res is a bug or by design, I don't know. I could see it going either way.
