Problem w/ 12th year vet reward - House teleporter

I used the teleporters to link my Trammel keep and my Felluca keep. Both keeps are set to private, which should not be a problem if the character using them is a friend or owner. All characters on the account which owns the Trammel keep can use the teleporters.

But only the character whose name is on the house sign of my Felluca keep can use the teleporter to access the Fel building, the other owners of the house on that account cannot. Coming back to Trammel, they have no problem using the teleporter. The error message I get when trying to port to my Fel keep is "You do not have access to the destination house". I can't friend those characters to the Fel keep since they already own it, which means that until this is fixed, to use my vet reward requires me to make my Fel keep public so the owners of the house can travel to it via teleporter.

Yes, I know I can set the door security so that nobody can enter. And I've done that. But the teleporters are not working properly and I'd like to see this fixed please.

Just letting you know that I have similar problems with two houses .. one in Felluca and one in Tokuno. In my case the only characters from either account that can go back and forth is the users that own each of the houses.

I wrote up a failry detailed account of the problem and submitted it to [email protected]. It might not be a bad idea for you do do the same.

Maybe (crosses fingers) it will get resolved.

Basic same problem. I have 12 yr acct, 1 char on that acct placed a set of tiles. 1 tile got placed in a tram keep that acct owns, the other tile got placed in a fel castle that char is co/owned to. The tile in the fel castle will not let any of the chars on that 12 yr acct go to the keep that the acct owns! Says, "you do not have access to the destination house".

SchezwanBeefy,

That's what I did ...... but am I asking too much that the House Teleporters should be working as designed .... meaning that they should be "smart enough" to know that any character on the same account as the character that owns the house should be permitted to teleport. After all I was able to have my house marked private and still be able to enter the house with any of the same characters.

I am deeply gratefull to you for your profond insight in how to solve the problem. Please ... don't ever apply for a position as a UO Code Developer.

Thankfully yours ..... Ant

Just put your houses on public and restrict access on doors. Problem solved.
That doesn't always fix the problem.

I have a Fel Castle, Fel Keep and Fel 18x18. Teleporters from 18x18 and Keep both go to the Castle.

All my Characters can use each Teleporter, except the Characters that own the 18x18 can leave the 18x18 by teleporter and go to Keep and back to Castle. However when they try to teleport to the 18x18 (that that account owns) they are told that they don't have access to that destination. I've tried setting to public, with the same results.

The only Character's with any problem using the teleporters is on that one account. The only problem that account has with the teleporters is when going to the 18x18 that account owns.

At this point I'm beginning to wonder if that account is bugged.

Other than that one (very irritating) problem I love the new teleporters and am very happy that I saved all those choices on that account ;)

I think the problem related with characters on the owners account.

Friends, Co Owners and the Owner (as by the house sign) can use them, However other characters on the owners account cannot use them.

Atleast that's how I see the problem.

I think so too. I have a character on Account A as co-owner on for a house on Account B. Character on A account places both teleporters. Works fine within the same house - all chars can 2 way teleport - but what's the point. When one teleporter is in account a's house and the 2nd is in account b's house, teleporter does not work two-way for any characters on account a or b. Any other chars on different accounts can 2-way teleport. Account a char's can teleport to b's house but not back to the house on their own account. Likewise account b chars can teleport to the a's house but not back to their own house.

I have friends with these teleporters with private homes in fel and multiple accounts and it is not a problem. I think it's honestly your account or some bug with it.
Also, I was coming up with a temporary solution until it is fixed. Not once did I write "stop being whiney and just do this". This at least fixes the problems until the Devs do something, which sometimes never happens.
Good god, people on UHall are so freaking touchey it's redic.
