Problem selling to NPCs

Yesterday, I did a run in the New Haven Mine. I looted lots of armor. When I went to town to sell my stuff, the merchants wouldn't buy 7 or 8 of the pieces. It was some cjainmail, studded, and a plate chest. Just ended up dropping them on the ground They would show on my sale menu, so I tossed them down and figured its a bug. Today I started a carpenter, and the NPC merchants will buy less than half of the boxes I am making. What gives? A few minutes ago I made about 15 medium crates, NPC bought 4 of them, and neither her, nor any of the other merchants even "saw" them on my sell list. Making it hard to make a living as a carpenter.

Yeah, tried that too. The armor yesterday and the crates today. No joy. Cannot find anything about this on Google. Also, when I pick up some of the crates I left laying around and go back, they still will not buy those specific crates.

Maybe it's because you have sufficient tinkering to crafty those crates as lockable. This results in the creates having a key in it, and the NPCs won't buy the crates unless it's empty.

If it were me though, I'd just trash the crates. The gold you get back isn't worth the time taken to sell them, esp since you say you see the sale menu (which indicates you are not using UOA's sell agent to save time).
