Problem Communicating With Origin?

Is anyone else having log in issues atm? I havent been able to hop on Ultima the past 15 minutes or so.

When do the Ultima Online shards go down for maintenance?

It typically is about 6am in whatever is its primary time zone, I believe. I know my shard usually comes down for about 15 minutes around 6:15-ish.

But this ain't regular maintenance.

This is a login server issue, not a shard server downtime.
At least the client doesn't 'black hole' like it used to long ago

I believe (don't quote me) it's just the log-in server maintenance. Its usually on Tuesdays around this time, but I wouldn't be surprised if things got moved around or changed.

Wait about 30-45 mins (8:30am EST at the latest) before we cause an uproar!

This is normal play time for me and I've never seen this happen regularly on tuesdays so... it's just a downtime.

The login server is located in TX and is about 4 feet under water we apologize for the inconvenience. The replacement login server will be online next month thanks for playing UO..

We'll probably have to wait until after the VA crew has had their morning coffee and then taken the time to read these boards, LOL.

We did once go a whole weekend with the dev team thinking they turned on an event on Friday and not catching it until Tuesday (true story).

There might be a 'Problem Communicating With Origin' but I'm more concerned anymore that there are ALSO 'communication problems with Bioware-Mythic' (or whatever it is the are calling themselves this week, lol).

It is in VA, so yes, working a typical office day they should be around. Not that such a thing means they are, you know, aware.

Like I said before (not that I think it'll last thing long, of course, LOL): at the end of the 2008 Magincia Arc, there was supposed to be an event turned on for the weekend. Well, they forgot, and no one even bothered to read the forums and notice until TUESDAY. And no, this was not over a holiday, which means the entire office was oblivious the entire first day back from work nothing was going on.

To me, that screams there is a problem communicating somewhere. Just as I'd like a 'heads up' that shard(s) are down, like they used to do years ago. Just as they had 'In Concept' and 'In Development' so that, yes, you know they were working on SOMEthing and had some insight where they were taking the game.

Heres some info to satisfy your needs, the first test tube baby was born in 1978!

I was logged in while the servers went down and went afk to make lunch and came back to "timed out" message, im raging now becuase i could of done some barracoons or stuff lol! (or even better got some good loot out of any idocs while ya'll couldnt log in)

Some of the old timers may remember a time when the shards/servers went down every 10 mintue or so and sometimes reset until the day before...

Everyone just take a deep breath it will be back soon, But I aplogize for making the servers crash , I recently hired a friend to clean up my 2 castles and I believe that put the hamsters into shock
