I am a little confused as to where I would choose my primary sim/avatar. I have searched the forums for this information and still can't find any information. I see people talking about it and even looked in the post about amnesty. Can someone please link me to the post (if there is one) for choosing the main sim/avatar?

Don't have a link, but the button is located where "Move this sim" used to be.
There are 2 buttons, Primary and Retire this sim.

Edit: Found exactly what you were telling me and have made the changes I wanted. Again. Thank You!!!

I have a question about the primary button also. Hope someone can answer it. I can only have 1 primary (which gets the $500 per week), but the 3 oldest gets the anniversary gifts, correct?

All gifts will go to the primary avatar. From the blog

<blockquote><hr>

The purpose of the primary avatar will be to receive your gifts, subscription bonus, and general communications. It will be the avatar that remains if you choose to go from a paying customer to a free player

If I move the primary sim will she get the other cards in the lave game? and will the red and orange count as hers? or will the first primary get a red/orange lava lamp and the new primary get the other colors in another lava lamp?

That is such BS!!! I have skilled 3 sims for 3 years and get 1 anniversary gift. God, can they mess with the game any further. I have just about reached the end of my rope with this piece of news.

You get more than one anniversary gift - you will get 3 on a paid account in EA-Land - one for each of those sims you have skilled for 3 years, but all gifts will go to the primary avatar.

From the blog

<blockquote><hr>

The anniversary procedure will gift the primary avatar on the account with three (3) in EA-Land and one (1) in TC3 of each year’s particular gift as the anniversary date hits or if the date of the check is after the anniversary date and the particular account has not received the gift in the respective city, EA-Land or TC3. Anniversary dates are measured in entitled days only.

I think paying customers will get 3 anniversary gifts per paid account, if you are eligible. Free players will get 1 anniversary gift, if they quality. Personally, I think giving out anniversary gifts to non-subscribers is BS, as it is a slap in the face to those of us who have forked over subscription money each month. I understand EA is counting on the free players, who cannot earn money in game, to be their ticket to riches via the ATM sales. How many will stay after they sell their anniversary gifts? That is the question of interest to all.

Ok, I went to the blog and found someone asked the same question I'm asking on March 19th, but I haven't seen a reply yet....
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On the new feature thingy, how does that effect the Lava Lamp game. On one of my accounts, my primary avatar is the one that’s just appeared from AV, but that one obviously doesn’t get the cards. So should we leave our current card recieving avatar alone until the game is over or does nomination of another one transfer all card thingies to them?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Could someone please clarify this for me and anyone else who might be wondering the same? Please, Thank you

you dont only get one gift ...in Eal land you get 3 of the anniversary gifts they are just all given to your primary sim. and then you get to distrubute them to your sims. In TC3 you only get one gift per account

Also on the lava game the way I under stand it is....The primary sim gets counted for the first card of each color ..if you have 2 of one color it will go to the second sim , if the second sim has the color the third one will go to third sim .etc...but still the lava lamps will be given to the main sim it just shows how they will color the lava lamps. you cant give each sim on an account a different card and get a bunch of single colored lamps.

Doesnt matter which sim originally had the cards they count on the primary sim on that account

All prizes from the Lava Lamp games will go to your primary avatar. Regardless of the avatar that completed the game. It is acct based not avatar based. Same with the amnesty all entitled gifts will go to the primary avatar. It does not matter if the primary avatar changes. They will go to the current primary avatar.
