ok, in the interest of learning the ins and outs of splintering weapons, what mod makes it worthless or what one mod would make it worth buying?

Victim here it is.. non brittle meaning clean wep you can pof forever. Prized is okay but ideally clean is best. Now for best sellers all depends on type of wep. But look for
20 + splints, hit lower defense with hit lighting is preferred. If its a slow wep ssi is huge as well on it with of course damage inc and spell chan never hurts to have. Granite hit lower attack is ok but defense is most desirable as well fireball or harm are ok. Hit areas on splints lower it since splints are used for pvp. Hopefully this helps you.
