[Auction] Pre Rares Fest Auction

Hello everyone, a friend has asked me to host a small auction for him here on Stratics before the festival.

All bids must be made in the thread and all items must be paid for on Atlantic. I will however deliver any items won to Catskills for the festival, saving whomever one way on a transfer.

There are starting bids listed next to each item, lower bids will not be accepted. The owner reserves the right to pull any/all of the items from the auction at any time.

This auction will end on Friday, the 29th of October at 10 pm Central.

the statues often sell for just 200mill... it seems like thats a bit high for starting bids.

Well those are the starting bids decided on by the seller. Mostly due to the fact that the last two 2 story statues sold on Atlantic went for 270 and 300 respectively. Not to mention what they have sold for at the last two previous rares festivals.

As far as the history on the item goes I'm not totally sure, I've always heard it is a seer item and isn't unique. The last one I saw for sale was auctioned off in this thread,

Bored sitting at hospital, just noticed this auction. If it hasnt been cancelled or anything I'd bid atleast the starting bids on the Book of Memories and the Boots. I'll check later to see if it was still going. Or icq me thanks

Athelas from what I can recall of it, you are correct it is a seer item, I believe it was once unique but was duped during the doggy dupe fiasco. At that time Wynn as you may or may not know owned it (or one of them as it is).

Just for clarification my statement is intended to imply that I believe the item was once unique and that I believe it to have been duped. I have no hard evidence to support either, but I do know that there is more than once such book, although even then the number I can account for is quite low (single digits).

Ok folks, I figured I'd go ahead and update even though the auction is over due to the amount of pm's I've received regarding the items. All of the offers on the items sold were made after the auction was already over and were sold for the starting bids.
