pre patch golem

i have an old golem and was wondering how i can tell if it's a pre patch?
when did they make the change to golems?

From my understanding, the way to tell is to hit it w/ a 100% poison weapon and see if it takes any damage. If it never takes any damage then its pre-patch. The new ones take 1-2 damage per hit, which is how you can kill them accidentally if you have a super fast weapon and your damage outpaces their regen ability.

*Caveat this as information obtained from talking to people/discussion boards, havnt messed w/ a golem myself in years.

Oh yes quite a lot more, last 1 that I saw for sale was at 20M on Baja, not certain if it did finally sell at this price or not but definitly worth more than the new golems
