Pre Patch Bake Kitsune

Since I have enough of these I guess it is time to make some guides on them.
I do not leave Magery on them, so no magery build guide, that just ruins them IMO. Use a current spawning one for junk pet builds.

These have a very wide intensity range.

Guides divided into two sections: Single Magic and Passive and Active Magic.

These are a legacy pet from pre patch 97 The Taming Revamp. They do not jump slots like Cu Sidhes if a returning player has them.
They came into UO with Tokuno. They are a up to 9 tailed fox in mythology. In UO they have 3. They have pretty blue eyes.
They make lots of noise. Kinda bark like a real fox.

2 => 5 slot

Damages:

Natural Abilities:
1630903546351.png
Rage does a series of hits, it is not that impressive.
Rage takes no space. Irrelevant because you do not have room for much on these.

The info page and starting ranges are here

These pet types can have overcapped Fire resist up to 90%
They can have up to 425 Intelligence.

IMO these are a novelty pet. But, do not mess with them if you do not know what you are doing.
Someone would love to build it.

What do I look for if I find one in my stable?

The higher than 80 fire resist is more desirable. High intensity very desirable. Both. Jackpot!
Calculate intensity here Choose Legacy type.

These pets are what I call Squishy. They take damage and lose stamina quickly.
So you need at least 10 Stam Regen on them. Lots of extra points.

Here is a Random one I have lying around:
1630904761616.png

Even at 2 slots these are not easy to build and get all the bells and whistles.
The starting HP and Str are very low.

Training screen is a common one for pets that can get Magics.
1630905298206.png

They can get these Area, Moves and Abilities:
1630905755247.png

They can get these magics:
Odd that they are from Tokuno but can not get Bushido or Ninja as active magic.
1630905839395.png
Might get Battle Defense when wrestling at 100 and parry appears.

Now back to my random little guy.

He has really pathetic intensity at 52.2% 315 points from max. That's over 100HP...

So he would be able to make an AI/Chiv Bake Kitsune.

His Planner

Lets Compare this pet to a Cu.

Ill make him have stats like a fresh Cu Sidhe at 3 slots.

Looks like this now:

1630909742573.png

So this is how this Bake Kitsune compares to a Fresh 3 slot Cu Sidhe.

100+ Hitpoints less than the lowest HP Cu. 200 less than the Highest HP Cu.

So we are starting with a pet that is 300 to 600 intensity points less than a Cu Sidhe.

There are two guides below.
NEVER ADD A MAGERY OR EVALUATE INTELLIGENCE SCROLL

Building Guide for AI/Chiv Pre Patch Bake Kitsune.

NEVER ADD A MAGERY OR EVALUATE INTELLIGENCE SCROLL

Can use this build with any intensity Bake Kitsune.
But if yours is High intensity:
See if it can make the 2 magic one below. (active and passive)

We are going to start with that poor little 52% guy above. (test center is down for a while so I have to use the Cah Planner to build.) I'll edit numbers in the Lore screens.

First round Training:

Basically the first round we are going to set some base things and resists.

1. Set Stamina to 150 Max
2. Set Dex to 150 Max
3. Set resists how you want them.
4. Set Mana regen to 30 Max
5. Set HP Regen to 20 Max
6. Set Stamina Regen to 10. (5 If you fight nothing that hits hard.)
7. Use the rest of the points in Strength.
8. Any remaining 1 or 2 points in Mana.

Now the guy looks like this: 3 slot

Second Round Training:

1. Max the Strength
2. Rest in Hit points
3. 1 or 2 points left in Mana.

Now we have this:
1630910758963.png
If you follow my Building Guides, A Cu would have the same stats but 100 plus more HP.
Planner values at 4 slot end.

Last round of Training:

1. Set Base Damage per second to Maximum
(takes 35 points.)
2. Add Armor ignore
3. Add Chivalry
4. Add scrolls
Always use a 120 Chivalry Scroll
Rest are up to you.
5. You have 265 points left if you use 120 scrolls for all of them.
Use where you want. Most likely HP.

So I was able to turn this pathetic little Bake into a very usable AI/Chiv Pet. Finished Planner

Run Consume and he will be a noisy Little Killer. Enjoy your new pet.

Building an Active and Passive Magic Bake Kitsune

NEVER ADD A MAGERY OR EVALUATE INTELLIGENCE SCROLL

For many of us the goal is to find pets that can get an active and passive magic.
The problem is the passive magic costs an extra 700 points.
Not many pet types can make them.

How do you know if your Pre Patch Bake can make a 2 magic pet?
You need to put it in the calculator then go to the planner and build it there first.
Intensity Calculator. Choose legacy Bake Kitsune put in the stats.
Go to the planner and follow the build instructions below.
Put the value of scrolls you want.

If you did not use the planner and verify that your pet can get this type build, don't come crying to me later,
when you F'ed up a pet you can't get anymore.

There are 2 types of 2 magic pets you may want to build. One has FWW the other has Feint. Both Have active Chivalry.

First round Training:

Basically the first round we are going to set some base things and resists.

1. Set Stamina to 150 Max
2. Set Dex to 150 Max
3. Set resists how you want them.
4. Set Mana regen to 30 Max
5. Set HP Regen to 20 Max
6. Set Stamina Regen to 10. (5 If you promise to use consume all the time)
7. Use the rest of the points in Strength.
8. Any remaining 1 or 2 points in Mana.

Second Round Training:

1. Add Frenzied Whirlwind (you don't need Armor Ignore with FWW)
OR
1. Add Armor Ignore and Feint
2. Put on the 120 magic scroll that goes with that Passive Magic
FWW uses Ninjitsu. Feint uses Bushido
3. Put the rest in Strength.

Last round of Training:

1. Set Base Damage per second to Maximum
(takes 35 points.)
2. Add Chivalry
3. Put on a Chivalry 120 scroll.

Now we will find out if you F'ed up (if you followed this guide I saved your @ss at least)
4. Max the Strength
5. You would have room for the scrolls you wanted now.
If not you can put on lesser scrolls at least. @ss saved. Your welcome.
6. if you happen to have any points left, put in Hit points.

Enjoy your Beastly Bake Kitsune! USE CONSUME
