Koba smiled as he considered the pace at which the events were unfolding. After months of being labeled as lunatic or worse, he could not even walk around the city without getting thronged by people.
“And why should I be surprised at this?” He challenged himself, "After all, pa always said that good intentions and hard work can make a king out of a pauper."
“King…” Brushing his beard, he contemplated a question that had been nagging him. Only a few days before, he had been questioned by a group at the West Britain bank if he would be willing to take over the leadership in case his revolution came to pass. Obsessed with removing the existing decadence in the government, he had never considered the question of leadership. As such, he had been caught unprepared by the query.
“Why not? I could be a good leader! But, the goal is to take the power away from the Lords and Barons and give it to the ordinary people! Clean sweep!” He mused to himself aloud.
Now, walking past Lord British’s castle, he could not help glaring. That castle, along with its peer Lord Blackthorn’s castle, represented everything he was fighting against.
Picking up a stone, he threw it over the castle wall, yelling, “Power to the people!” Few paces behind him, his cry was picked up by scores of others armed with pitchforks and knives as the city started to burn again. Dodging into an alley, to evade the approaching guards, Koba once again smiled as he considered his next move.
Note: A book stating Koba's Manifesto can now be found on some of the raiders in Britain.
