Possibly transferring from Sonoma

Hello GL,

I've been on Sonoma for the past couple of months and lately have just been depressed with the lack of people on the shard. Made some toons on different servers to see what its like elsewhere and it seems that GL has a pretty good balance of gate fighting/economy/pvm action.

Almost made up my mind about transferring here in the near future but I wanted to ask some basics about factions and guilds.

Who are some of the predominate guilds in regards to PVM and PVP? Do they actively recruit?

What about factions, which faction seems to be the predominate one and which ones are lacking?

Are you likely to see some blues running around fel? And I mean not just at the yew gate, but in the environment?

What is spawning like on GL? Lots of fighting for the spawn? Is it impossible to solo spawns on GL?

Any other general info about GL would be awesome!

There's a few PvM-oriented Trammel guilds, at least of which, the Guardians of Valhalla, recruits periodically and holds events about once per calendar month. I'm sure there's more, the Guardians is just the most often seen one, with DC a close second.

You are unlikely to see any non-Faction blues running around Fel.

Factions is competitive.

We have, as far as I can tell, the best Event Moderators.

First off you will see randon blues around fel, the odd miner, wood cutter, adventurer or just lost trammie. And of course lots of them at spawns. Most spawns are activly scouted so very hard to solo one, more often than not a fight or raid will ensue. The predominate factions well not being biased here but my opinion........ TB seems to be the weakes, mainly thieves and trammies with a couple of decent pvp'rs in the mix. Minax and Shadow lords seem to be the strongest. And to be honest I really don't see many COM around unless it's in luna (again no offence). The PvP is first rate, and not sure about guilds recruiting, but [M](minax), (TDR,JW,BC) alliance ( non factions) DC they have a faction group as well but not sure where they stand at the moment. From my wanderings I see them all and couldn't say what one is the strongest. Hope to steal from you soon

I believe TDR/JW/BC is the only non-cross shard active PvP guild that plays on GL.

Pretty much every other guild plays more than one shard and if you see only one out of their team its because they are scouting. In a few minutes you're likely to see 3-6 more.

We are still semi active in SO? I think we have 8 members, and on an average night we have 3-4, I think we had 7 on Saturday night.

Only SO? i've seen lately was justin the other day in Brit he gave me a nice 1 v 1.

Then again I don't really play that often so I probably just don't see the others.

That was me, and I was the only one on at the time. I was wrong on the day I said we had 7 on. It was Friday night. I've had my days all mixed up since the floodings. It was a nice 1v1 indeed.

As Galen mentioned, this shard has the best EMs. Seriously, you should come, events are usually set up so that even a single person with a combination of luck and skill can change the history of the shard one way or another. And events every Tuesday.
