Hi, I'm considering moving a character (probably my garg caster) to this shard. I'm seeking information about the community here and how it might mesh into my playstyle.

A little about me: I'm pretty casual, I've got a wife, kids, and job so my playtime is limited to evenings (6 or 7pm - around 11pm EST) I do not like PvP. I suck at it, actually. PvM is my strong point, I have some experience with roleplay and could probably adjust to that decently well. I'm inquisitive, helpful when I can be, and usually off getting myself killed by who knows what. I love events, hunts, and I get a little obsessive at times about bettering my character. :gee:

So, if you would be so kind, tell me a bit about this shard. Maybe I'll see you soon. :)

Atlantic has a lot to offer most any playstyle. There's a healthy population with lots of veterans and regular new players. Housing is considered tight because you are unlikely to run out and place an 18x18, but a medium sized 12x14'ish can be found with a little searching.

There are a lot of great PVM guilds as well that range from huge (400+ members with many sub-groups) to smaller tight-knit groups. You might want to check out the "Welcome to Atlantic" Sticky thread above for some more info on Atlantic and the guilds.

Welcome! I hope to see you in game.

Atlantic has a strong RP community, with several guilds who do PvM. Keep in mind with most rp guilds, there is going to be a chance you might have to deal with some pvp between the rpers, but its absolutely okay to be horrible at it.

If interested in learning more, check out the forums and maybe post an introduction. http://www.atlanticcommunityboard.com/forum/index.php

Welcome to Atlantic (hopefully ^_^)

Alright, so I'm leaning heavily toward Atlantic RP Community. Is there a particular RP "mage guild" or anything like that? Moonglow Town Council perhaps?

A mage template would fit in any number of the rp guilds. MTC has all flavors, including those who rp mages. Best way to approach it is think of the personality of your character and find out where they best fit in. Is your character more sinister, do they tend to follow the virtues, etc?

Cear's suggestion is a good one. The community's next rp tavern night is 03/29/10--Poets Garden, Malas. Not sure I have a rune to that location as my schedule doesn't allow me to attend many, but I bet Cear does! *grins* Just PM him like crazy and he'll hook you up! Its a good place to meet some of the guilds and get a feel for them. Also feel free to introduce yourself on the ARPC forums. Most folks will be more than happy to give you more information about their guilds and help answer any questions you have.

Hope to see you around!
