Possibly moving from Europa...

Hi Chaps!

Been thinking long and hard about a shard move. Europa sadly is becoming more a ghost town when it comes to trading and I'm just not getting the thoughput.

What I was wondering was...

Whats the RP scene like on here?
Is there space for another small time trader here?
Whats the chances of a house just outside Luna, if so how much can I expect to spend to buy it?
Which guild is good for some PVM and some 'red' protection?
and finally what time is the 'prime time' for here?

RP scene is, unfortunately, a shadow of what it used to be, but we still have good RP.

There's always space for more traders.

I can't speak for the rest of the questions, except that prime time is not when I typically play (being European, I should be sleeping now)

RP on Catskills is not that restricted as it typically is on Europa. There's a lot of mingling going on (people having characters both in RP guilds and in normal guilds).
I couldn't tell ye about housing in Luna, cause 'tis me least favorite town anyways. As ye can see on this forum, Catlord organizes weekly Champ Spawn hunts with good protection. Otherwise, if ye avoid the Yew Gate, ye hardly will get in trouble with murderers. I, too, usually don't play prime time, as I am European. It is handy that Farsight and me are in the same guild. So we can loot and plunder together.

Are ther regular events and stuff on here?

That depends on what you consider an event.

We in the Trinsic circle of things (UP/PGoH) don't hold events with the blistering regularity of the guilds of Europa, but we do have weekly and monthly events, and we're trying to up the frequency to make ourselves more interesting to more players.

Some of the other roleplay groups hold weekly tavern nights and irregular events including markets, tournaments, book faires etc.

Many guilds hold hunting events, such as Doom runs, Peerless runs, or Champion spawns, but I'll leave it to them to tell you about it.

Haven has a lot of activity too, especially in the EST evenings.

Well, I don't know about others, but I can tell you about PGoH!
We're a roleplaying guild who's been around since the very beginning, and we continue to be a part of the live events storylines as well as making our own, and we have interaction with almost every other guild in the Warring RP circle, as we try to make events that everyone puts on. We have very frequent hunts, and these range from just fun silly things like dungeon clearing all the way to doom runs, peerless, and sometimes champ spawns. RP on Catskills is truly just a shadow of what it once was. There are still some guilds that do RP regularly, and you will have an easy time finding them. We are not as strict as what you find on Europa, but on the bad side, you will really not find a lot to do outside of guild run events and EM offerings.

What we do offer is a loser more free form version of RP. For better or worse it is the way we tend to do things here.

We have a crap ton of vendors and traders, but I would think that anyone offering wares at fair prices would do alright.
