Possible to melee Travesty, Lady M or Grizzle?

Hi all,

Ive been reading this forum with great interests, especially on the soloing of peerlesses. Now, I dont think Ive come across articles about people succeeding at soloing Lady M or Grizzle, as a melee character, mind you. Even for Travesty, I can imagine problems at the end, when all those ninjas spawn.

Therefore, Im requesting those who have done those, within a reasonable length of time, to share with me, through PM or otherwise, if it is at all possible to do with a melee character.

They're all possible, but Lady M and Griz are a little bit too slow to be really considered worth doing apart from the whole "I did it" bragging point.

Things to keep in mind assuming you are doing it alone or with other warriors (no tamers or mages):
Lady M:
You need to be able to pull the satyr out without getting into Melisande's way. That's not easy, and requires the use of invisibility potions. Also, her slow-your-swing-speed attack can be a dealbreaker, and makes it very tough indeed. You'll have to joust her a lot more than any other peerless.
Grizzle:
Stay out of the acid pools as much as possible. His armor corrosion will lower the durability of all your armor to under 10, but no further. All the same, be ready to PoF all your armor after the fight. Again, his power and special attacks require a lot of jousting. It's best to have another character on the side to ressurect you in case you lose, which is a possibility even if you're good at it.
Travesty:
Don't go in wraith form. Travesty in wraith form will never die. Vamp form is OK as long as spirit speak is not on your template. Travesty is also quicker if you either take parry off of your template or (for the samurai) carry a shield. You get hit more, but you also hit Travesty more, which lets you leech more life. Carry a weapon with disarm (I use rune blades) and keep on Travesty once the ninja spawn. Disarming the assassins and ninja turn them into mongbats, allowing you to focus on Travesty. Once you kill Travesty once, Travesty becomes as easy to kill (or easier) than Paroxysmus.

Lady M used to be able to be done solo with a archer/mage, but they changed her many years ago to keep that from happening anymore.

When she origionally came out, the ladder that you exit the area from you could walk down the ladder to keep yourself safe from the spawn in case you got into trouble. That was fixed.

Also lady M's spells were maxxed at 9 space distance. While some bows had 10 space distance. Thus, you could efield in front of Mel and could shoot her with your bow and she couldn't touch you. So a solo mage/archer could lure and kill the satyrs first (with evs/spells) then efield Mel and shoot her with arrows.

Many solo players also would use another account to bring in a stealther/rezzer just in case they messed up.

So it took a while to solo mel with a archer/mage, but it was doable. They of course nixxed Mel's casting range and increased it to 10 to correct this problem.

Can you solo mel now? I don't think so, but who knows.

The only character that i think could solo mel would be a tamer/archer mage.

Pet attacking mel, while mage continuously cast greater heal on the pet, EVs when needed. If they had a spell channeling bow they could shoot mel while the pet attacked, and if they had the right bow, such as having mana leech also and/or dispel, it would boost their casting ability to probably cast greater heals full speed without needing to meditate. The dispel property would be used against the Revenants of course.

On the meli part, when she hits you with her special that lowers your swing speed, if you eat an enchanted apple or use remove curse does it work ?

Im sorry but to me I think it is next to impossible to solo lady mel with melee...There's no way anybody can deal with her damage output.And if it is possible I'd have to see it to believe it. In my opinion the only way (well how I myself solo her) is with a Spellweaving Tamer with a Greater Dragon. And even then I have to keep Gift of renewal and Arcane Empowerment up to keep Pets health full. Also U need a mana regen LMC suit. This not tamer/Mage forum, as I dont wanna elaberate on that, but oh man...I just dont see anyone whether it be Sampire or whammy being able to solo hersolo her.
