umm don't you just turn older paintings and that version "portrait" will pop up?

A friend and I experimented tonight, and I think that you are partially right, the blue turned into a lady in red, however it retained the name, and didn't change to "Portrait". That is as far as I know, but it would be interesting to see if this can be done.

aye, i meant not to use the ship wreck paintings but other old paintings that just says "painting".

yes you can turn any painting/portrait to change the colors of the portrait just like with shipwreak ones.
