Why if I may ask ?

The buffs are nice and, most importantly, they can be stacked and do not have cooldown timers...

Besides, 5 minutes is quite a nice length of time.

I can clearly see which of these are more useful, and it is not necessarily the rarer of the bunch.

My bigger question is why? What good do these things do if players are enabled to make characters that are capable of soloing nearly everything in the game and have virtually unlimited gold and items to do so with?

It just seems like another time sink to me. There is nothing entertaining or immersive about it.

How do the buffs that soak 5 dmg function... ??
1) OR 2) ??



1) If I would normally get Flamestruck for 40 dmg... & I eat the pie that "Soaks" 5 fire dmg does that reduce the dmg taken to 35 ??

OR

2) since I have 60 Fire Resist after being Cursed that must mean that for me to take 40 dmg AFTER checking my resist the base dmg of the Flamestrike must be
100 points of dmg.. Does the "SOAK" property take 5 points off of this # ?? Resulting in 95 Base dmg and then only Taking 40% of that bc of my 60 fire resist.. aka 38 dmg?

If it functions in the manner of 1) ... Then the Magic arrow / NB spam loses quite a bit...

I prefer 30 minute or longer.

All the time spent to get a 5 minute boost seems a waste.

Are you just trying to find out in theory which pie/buff people actually would like to use the most?

Cause my option is not up there: Do not have the booster, or do not care about the new pies.

That way you will also see how much of the stratics population (that votes) will even be interested in them.

10 min would have been nice, but 5 is fine. Its not THAT hard to get big fish, and they do give you lots of steaks, and each pie only takes one steak. Now if we could only get fishing scrolls more easily.

haven't tried any yet so don't know if there is a cool down timer, however i have not heard any mention of one

Yellowtail Barracuda is the most prevalent "magic pie" fish and thus the magic pie can be sold at a reasonable price . Plus, the HPR3 is very handy for any class.
