Poll Regarding Pet and Commodity Broker Stalls

I have been thinking about the commodity and pet broker stalls in New Magincia. They are quite popular on Siege Perilous. So, here's another poll with a few questions about your experience running and using these stalls. (Sorry the poll part says they are Yes/No questions. They're not. Just pick the ones that apply to you.)

Here are a few additional questions to ask about them that don't quite fit into the polling format, if you are inclined to answer them:

1. If you have run a commodity or pet broker stall, which shard(s)/facet did you do it on?
2. If you have purchased from a stall, which shard(s) did you do it on?
3. If you have sold to a commodity broker stall, which shard(s) did you do it on?
4. Which shard(s) do you think really need a pet broker stall today and which kinds of pets should it sell?
5. Which shard(s) do you think really need commodity broker stalls and what should they sell? What should they buy?
6. If you could set up a commodity or pet broker stall in another city, which city would you choose and why?
7. If you ran a commodity or pet broker stall in the past, what made you close down the stall?
8. If EA adds a vendor search function to UO, do you think it should also allow you to search and find out what is for sale at pet and commodity broker stalls?

Cant vote without checking one, and a check would be yes I imagine. Put me down for straight noes, I was done with Magincia after the destruction, when they rebuilt it as a trailer park instead of the beautiful city it once was...

im glad i can at least use them to buy pets. im not paying 15 bucks just to be able to sell my random spare pets tho so not much use unless your a serious tamer. not worth the 15bucks imo.

Its convienient tho, id definitely rather pay 500k for a blue beetle or swampy than log on my tamer, tame one, and then transfer to the cahracter i want. some could argue it removes the "communtiy aspect" blah blah blah. but i see it just as a vendor for tamers.

Id use it once in a while for selling random pets if it were including with the monthly 10dollar fee to play the game.

I have a poorly maintained pet vendor on Europa, which I need to put more effort in to running, but without the bulk vendors buying and selling on Siege getting started there would have been much, much more difficult...

I'm not sure about them being in other towns, can see arguments for and against. First reaction is I'd rather have different and unique features for the towns so they feel more individual as places, but I need a lot more time to think through how that might work.

I tried a New Magincia stall, but after weighing the overall costs to keep it going against the actual sales, I gave it up after a short time. I've found it more profitable (and less work) to sell things at player-run auctions.

The costs associated with keeping one of these vendors running tends to cripple the ability to turn a profit.

This is a case of a poorly conceived gold sink...one you have to pay real cash to "own." They also add to the eyesore that is the New Magincia trailer park.
