Which UO are you running; Mondain's Legacy or Kingdom Reborn? If ML I can't help you. If KR Then I may be able too.
I gained all my chars up by just poisoning a dagger over and over.
People tell me you also gain poisoning by using infecting strike. I haven't tested it to confirm.
But if this is true, I would get an arctic ogre lord or a golem, a LMC/Mana Regen Suit, and continuously poison the weapon while chain poisoning the ogre/golem.
