[Archery] Poisoning and alchemy template questions, need help please

Due to maxing out my crafter, got to move alchemy onto a new char I created.
I was reading about how good explode pots are when using enhance potions items, and as a result I'm trying to create a good archer template around that.

I will prolly end up PVMing mostly.

Anyway, tactics I was thinking of was using a bow to paralyse target and throw an explode pot at it.

But then I read about a elven bow that has the special move serpents strike. As alchemy and poisoning would be nice on the same char, I wondered how the poisoning worked. I cant seem to find anything on it on the boards. Do you need 100 poisoning to do lethal poison with serpents strike?

This may make my template too cramped too, and kind of ruins the tactic, paralyze then throw an explode pot idea.

Poisoning in PvM is just about worthless as any spellcasting creature will simply cure themselves over and over again. You'd be better off with going with bows with specials on them that serve the same purpose, such as mortal wound.

Alchemy could still serve an interesting purpose. You'd have to forgo something like Resist to add it in a template, but it could deal some interesting damage. With the right macros set up you could probably deal several hundreds of points of damage by tossing pots in between arrows.

Yeah, I started the char and transferred the alchemy to it.
Its insane how much damage you can do.
Havent got tactics and archery high enough to do paralyse special move, but was using bow with 40% hit lightning and throwing pots. I can pretty much kill anything already. Just have to run alot while I wait for heal pots timer/bandies to work

well I exagerated a little, but I'm impressed with the damage I can do. Just need to figure a way of timing the explode pots better, or wait until I get use to it I guess.

could be funny on pvp if you also have hiding and dismount :D

I've done a tad of resist training and got to make decisions as to where I go with this template. So seeing as everyone's so helpful I'd thought I'd ask what you think to:

alchemy 100
magery 100
eval int 100
archery 100
tacts 100
anat 100
resist 100

OR

OR

Possibly throw in 50 Chivalry, max out the obvious ones to 120 once I get/afford ps. Use jewellery to boost as well etc.

My problem is more about tactics I guess.
I know I could precast explode, para special move with the bow, throw a couple of explode pots, even poison and watch my target eat dirt.
I pvp in a rp guild btw.
But that would leave me with only magery as my healing ability.
I could forego resist and poisoning and max everything to 120.
I could add bush and healing or even meditation and focus more on magery rather than archery.
I'm kind of stuck.
I cant develop the char anymore until I decide which skills to drop.
Please help
