Poison Elementals are weak to Poison ?

I got as loot, a weapon that spawned quite odd.

I am not sure what to think about it.

It spawned as a "Poison Elemental Slayer" and carrying Poison Damage 100%.... It shines of a brilliant green hue, infact.....

Now, am I missing something ? Poison Elementals are weak to poison ??

Well, I have a "Fire Elemental Slayer" one with 100% fire damage: i still keep it as the least useful weapon I've ever found.

if it doesnt have any damage or hit spells on it, it would be just fine to smash on a golem..
you cant really craft 100% poison easy, so i keep all that i find.
