i try to patch to ultima and as soon as i hit ok i get a ultima online client has encountered a problem and needs to close we are sorry for the inconvenience started to happen at 10:30 am east time and now past 5:00 pm east time and still the same message what am i doing wrong

Check your fire walls, you may have to disable them if they are blocking you to patch.

Have you made sure your patch folder found in your EA Games file is empty?

i have tryed it all and even redown loaded it what the ---- is going on and is anyone else have this problem

had that problem once when i did a system restore, had to totally delete uo and re install

I am having the same problem. I have no idea whats causing it. I reinstalled several times (from the client downloaded from uo.com, as well at the 9th anny disc), not running vista, firewall down when patching, emptied patch folder after it fails...

Tried everything anyone suggested and several things I thought up on my own, and no luck. Its been this way for a month.

Can't log on, not happy about it.

this is pure crapp they need to get this worked out and refund your money im not sure whats going on right now with my side but i do feal real bad for you im gonna wipe it out on my comp and reinstall it to see if i can get the new patch

Try another hard drive if you have a spare. Toss it into the computer as a 2nd drive. Format it and install UO on that drive. If it works on that drive you know the problem is on your current drive.

If you're running Vista, make sure you run the patcher by right-clicking it and selecting Run As Adminstrator. Sometimes it has to be given full rights to get stuff done right.

If you're on a basic Vista and don't have that option, I'm not sure.

Is this problem happening before or after you patch? Try running the client.exe that is in the install folder and see if that works. If it does let me know in a PM. Also tell me your system specs, OS, etc. Thanks!

Im sorry, im having a different problem, that of not being able to patch due to error when applying patch. Forgive my reading skills.

Thank you all for your help let you know after 8 hr of working on it I got it to work i messed with my fire walls and uninstalled it and restalled it took me like 5 times to get it right im still not all that sure what went wrong i know i got the new patch because when i put a idm on my vendor in cant have insurance on it so i know im up to date but for some reason when i patch it still says current client patch notes feb-19 at 1:30 pm est not sure why that is but atlease i can play now
