I have had two long term goals in Ultima Online since I can remember making my first toon. Well...after nearly 4 years I'm asking someone to help me with one of those two. It is not an easy thing that I am asking for. I'm streatching my hand out.
If you want to "cut to the chase" then simply read the text that is in green. I know that many of you have played Ultima Online since it first was in beta. Believe me, I wish I could have been there too. I simply did not have the good fortune of discovering it in its hay-day. I was busy playin Myth online. You see, that would have to be my very close second to Ultima Online. However, unless there is a "free-shard" that I don't know of, no one plays Myth online anymore. And it is such an amazing game. *lowers head* I LOVE Myth. Well, moving on...when I first discovered Ultima Online I had an option...2d or 3d. So, I choose what seemed the best choice at the time, 3d. To this day I prefer to play Ultima Online in the "old" 3d client. Sadly however, that version has been nuked. Moving on yet again, in the 3d client a horse and a nightmare looked a bit different from one another. The Nightmare was kinda like a clydesdale and the horse was much more slender. So, it was easy to tell if someone was on a horse or a nightmare. Well, I realized that anyone could ride a black horse....even someone who was not a tamer at all.
Ok you might, possibly ask, where does this "black horse" come from? First let me get the "red tape" out of the way. I HAVE asked the proper channels. Or I would NOT be posting this. This is NOT an illegal action, and I have it on the word of the highest authority that I'm not cheating the system in this. So, I know I'm going to tick off a handful of people by giving away the "secret" here. But since I now know that I'm not breaking any rules, and its not a dupe, I am preparing to reveal what I need help with.
I need help getting a black horse, not a nightmare, not a dread warhorse...but a black horse. To get the horse here is what needs to happen: The ShadowLords needs to place a mounted guard (I believe the Minax faction has the same option) someone needs to use the dismount ability that is found on the Sword of the Stampede weapon. A lance will not work, a pitchfork does not work, a heavy crossbow does not work. It has to be a "Sword of the Stampede" sword. There is a possibility that a regular No-dachi sword will work, I only tested it on the Stampede sword though in test center. Then, BEFORE its rider is killed, his mount has to be tamed, and mounted. That is how the mount is obtained. Now, the Minax has 5 different color horses. There is red, dark red, dark-dark red, lighter-black, and black. I would be happy with the last two of the 5 colors.
Yeah, I know it aint' easy. And I know EVERYTHING that goes into it. From capturing the town, to placing the guard and all. I have studied everything. And I'm letting out my little secret here: That is the only reason that I'm even in factions to begin with. Ok? There. I've confessed my reason for joining a faction.
Now...Many of you have befriended me in game. And I'm sure there are lots of you that have at least heard of me. I'm not as well known as Vallend, Anne Nomily, Hawkeye Pike, the MOP, Pitr, Timberwolf, Calina, Black Sun or any of the "celebs" of Catskills. But...hopefully if anyone has remembered one thing from me, its that I only like to help players, not harm. I'm reaching out for help on this. I've tried myself to obtain one...and I failed. Please...can anyone help me with this?

* ...won't you need to find someone who is already in possession of a Sword of Stampede? According to the guide, the Treasures of Tokuno Quest for this artifact ended in 2006 which would make it quite rare, I suppose.
