It's extremely anoying to accidently pick up 2 corresponce from minax and have the second one forever stuck in your pack. I have had one stuck for a couple month simply because it is even more anoying waiting on a GM to remove it.

It rediculous that they did this to quest items, just because some people used them as decoration. OMG it's being used as deco! Let people use them as deco, instead of causing this problem.

Some people are still allowed to have them locked down in their houses and yet I have to wait hours to get them out of my pack.

Please Please stop making them stuck in pack, let people drop them lock them down what ever, it was harmless deco. But this is the fourth time I have had to get things removed from my pack.

*ahem*
A) quit trying to keep the "deco"
B) have someone PM you the "self help"

2 of the times were from correspondence of mixax
1 time was from a quest I didn't complete which got bugged
1 time was from something locked down as deco when they first made the change.

However seeing it was FD responding I probably shouldn't care

I agree, it was so nice to have some of the things as house deco. A dear friend gave me Minax orders, he long since bailed for Wow
. Of course I lost them when the great "ha ha players it won't lock again " event happened.

If we were never ever, ever, ever, and I mean ever supposed to have them that SHOULD have been said back when we had more than 3 devs.

It left a bad feeling for me is all. Such neat items wasted.

There's a way you can fix this yourself, but I can't remember the second stage of it. It's considered naughty by EA so we can't discuss it out in the open.

If you're completely stuck then try paging a GM, but with any luck some nice soul will remember the fix in its entirety and PM you.

Seems even the "anti-cheats" will condone a little "harmless" cheating from time to time. If you get the PM, just be careful what this leads to...

Soon you will have hacker's speed, and hands free pot, and then you will do meth and die! Or at least be condemned a good for nothing cheat who didn't raise his kids right.

GL, hope it works, you naughty little lawbreaker!

I thought this was funny, i did the exact same thing and have one stuck in my pack also. I have paged each day for a GM for the past week or so, and no GM yet. I'm guessing they aren't on anymore.

I finally got rid of some Minax orders out of one of my character's backpacks when I transferred her to another shard and deliberately left the Minax orders in her transfer crate. Six days after she arrived on the shard, I got a huge warning that there was still stuff in her transfer crate that would be deleted if I didn't remove it, but that's what I wanted to have happen....and it did!

"There's a way you can fix this yourself, but I can't remember the second stage of it. It's considered naughty by EA so we can't discuss it out in the open."

I've actually posted this a couple of times, and the "word" is that it's considered an exploit, however I've never seen anyone "official" say yay or nay on it. I really don't see how it could be, as all you're doing is getting something to drop out of your pack, so until the "official word" comes down.....here it is again:

Put 125 items in your backpack. Equip a non spell channeling weapon. If you're a mage, cast a spell, and if not, use your runebook and attempt to cast Recall from the runebook. This will cause the weapon in your hand to drop into your pack, which now has 126 items in it. Pick up the quest item and try to drop it back in your pack and it will drop to the ground since your pack is already at maximum capacity.

Problem solved.

As I've said each time I've posted this, I would like to hear something "official" as to if or why this would be considered an exploit, and since we're on the subject, if quest items that are locked down in a house would be actionable in any way.

Cant u just drop the items on a trashbarrel / trashchest?

afaik thats the only legal movement of such items.

Anybody got such a thing to test this?

I would hope its not actionable, as I have a ton of "stolen goods" chests locked down in a house from before quest items became bound to your pack.

nice try ...
but
I wasn't condoning "the action" ... Just making some fun of "the confusion" ...

Obviously the op knew how to fix themselves ... having done so before ...

just gave directions FIRST of which was "A) quit trying to keep the "deco" "
Next was to keep it off the forums ... not just the "fix"

the likely follow on "complaining" ... happened again! fix it! happened again! fix it!

stoves hot! it burned me! stoves hot! it burned me! stoves hot! it burned me!
bonk! ouch! darn wall! bonk! ouch! darn wall! bonk! ouch! darn wall! bonk! ouch! darn wall!

notice a pattern?

I just don't want to hear about it ...

NOTHING I can do about the repeats...

Thanks for clearing that up. For a while there I was thinking that you didn't cheat because you always post the rules. Does the stove have something to do with the locked quest items? Can you use the heating stand on the items and then lock them down?

[/ QUOTE ]Apparently FD thinks paging a GM to remove Item is a cheat. oh yeah, and a little white paper is such a desirable deco.

Just another full of himself post when people do have this problem because of the "fix". Instead of trolling with your nonsensical wit, why not offer something constuctive.
