Plea to the dev's to sort out the lag/speedhacking issues

Hello Dev team. I'm a pvp'er with a bog standard connection, and i play the europa shard.

1.) Recently, i've noticed uo is rather lagged, for no real reason. Please sort this issue out. I've actually stopped playing for the last week because it's been so bad that pvp is not enjoyable. If it continues, i will quit uo.

2.) Speedhacking has become a real issue. It's no longer restriced to the no skilled idiots that inhabit some of the fel scene, but it's spread like a rash and infected the minds of even good pvp'ers.

with this new event trying to bring trammel and fel closer together and be intertwined, some people are going to speedhacking even more. This will hurt many of the people trying to honestly enjoy the event in felluca.

Please attempt to curb these issues before it ruins the game for many pvp'ers.

As for the lag, I didn't play for a few weeks then was on yesterday and noticed it was very laggy. I thought it was just me, but latency was good , there were no anomalies in traceroute, and my bandwidth and PC are more than enough. The lag affected both clients, also.

There are 2 things that seem to cause me proper lag spike...

1: People shifting about into/out of animal form with ninja
2: People using speed hacks. I.e the ones I dissmount, that run away equally/if not faster than my mount will run.

It's not like I don't suck enough already without these things going against me as well.

That's the main reason why I don't even PvP much any more. There is the saying, "If you can't beat them, join them," but...I've always looked disfavorably at anyone who does it. A person that has the need to do it, just isn't much of a PvPer in my book.

I agree though. They need to put in place software like other games have that can detect 3rd party programs. UO Map and UO Assist are okay. I can't recall if there are any other approved programs.

not a pvper but I know I and others suffer through lag too at times..

Release the speedhack as an official part of the client for 2d. These speeds are standard in kr so it is nothing that isn't intended by the devs. if everyone has the same abilities , there will no longer be this issue
