I looked at one of these a few weeks back when i read a post about it, with a whetstone you can craft a faster weapon with an identical set of mods just with -29 mage instead of the -20 mage the planesword has. So if you use a Crystaline ring to get your magery cap back to max the planesword saves you 1 mod on a bracelet but getting FC 2 becomes an issue, if you don't use that ring and make up the stats with + magery on a ring and brace you save on a few resources crafting the jewlery but don't gain any extra properties unless you can find a large supply of perfect mod shame/covetous loot with +20 magery imbuable to exactly what you want to use (highly unlikely) , are there any other benefits to the planesword over a regular imbued weapon such as other items that give + magery besides rings and braces?

Wow I thought you knew these things Rumpy. Count the stats on the planesword. There is no craftable wep that gives you these stats. Sure IF you get a whetstone, you could use it for something like this. But I can think of many other things to use a whetstone for. This is what makes a planesword unique, not to mention, planeswords are cool

I will vouch for Revvo as being Revvo and not Rumpy.

I understand the stats and stat weights what i am trying to understand is why it might be worth the many millions you think it is besides being "cool".

I'm sorry I had to read your post twice Revvo to understand the question. The main draw to a planesword is the scnp property. If you try to imbue a regular wep with spell channeling, it will end up with sc -1. Where as the planesword has scnp along with no damage increase property. This gives the ability to get these stats on a planesword (thus the name "plane sword"

Then you imbue FC 1 to get SCNP, which is two properties, then add 50% lightning, 15% dci and mage weapon at minimum intensity while using a whetstone to remove damage increase to get the 5 properties. If you read my first post a few more times you will understand that i'm trying to understand why someone would want to pay millions for a weapon that for all intents and purpose you can imbue from scratch for less while getting a quicker weapon. I didn't know if there was something else with the weapon that wasn't obvious but there doesn't seem to be, use this for all imbueing confussion:-

and if you are lucky you can score a better weapon from the newer loot (cove, shame, wrong) or even if you reforge one.
basically morder you missed the boat on a big paid day by over a year.

Yeh.. I am definately not Revvo there Morder.

In reality, the only benefit of this weapon was the free property addition (I believe the spell channeling property did not count, as it was a bug that has been corrected). Personally, I prefer my -15 Mage Weap w/ 15 DCI. You can easily make those with a low end runic and a whetstone. Add in the cheap ingredients, (only costs 300k for the ingreds and 30k per hammer) you can have a maxed out -15 weapon for under 500k. The only benefit of running the Planesword is that it has a Hit Spell, but its -20 instead of the max -15.

Honestly, our better off running a -15 weapon. That way you can run 2 custom jewels with more properties and not have to use a faction Ornament and Crystal Ring (or have to run + Magery on Ring/Brac). Then you can focus more on mods you want and need. I don't even see a use in having an Orney on Siege. Thats my 2 cents worth.

Whetstone has 1 use and it cannot be bought. You make it through killing the bosses in shame which are summoned using Shame Crystals. They are as common as people want them to be.

This isn't production shards. This is Siege. Pricing is alot different.

I know Sprago had some a while ago for 500k or under. They aren't that pricey on Siege.

Only DI on exceptionally crafted weapons.
