LOL! Either way... it sounds like a win. I was mainly concerned that they had not meant for this to be tamable and as soon as I remove mine from the stables they will revert to a reg. rat. YAY! Sounds like they won't...

well even if they do, they should have the same hue a slighty sickly green instead of the brown. and if they haven't fixed my rare iron beetle they better not fix my damn rat!... (iron beetle needs taming to control)

LOL... you'll be happy to know that they did not "fix" it. It still maintains it's color and name. YAY!

sweet. can you still obtain them or not? i tamed mine just a few hours from the patch that made them un-tameable last time... gonna have to transfere taming to another char to store weird pets

According to the "uploading halloween content patch number not remembered" they were to NOT be tamed any longer... but I have not checked...

I had to transfer one of mine and will be doing that with the other two as soon as I can find a guildie on to pass them to me... My stable is full... guess I could ditch the almost GM mongbat huh?

Yes. I got tired of watching folks abusing game mechanics so I messaged someone about it. True to her word, it was fixed in the next patch.

prolly leading em off... but really they are not even the 1st level of the spawn... just always there... they start it but keep spawning...

Maybe it was a matter of killing to get the best one... and then leading the renowned off so he wouldn't get in the way and it would lock the spawn in rat only mode?

Just guessing... but I read a lot of people on here talking about the spawn being blocked...

Any old mare tamer worth his or her salt would immediately recognise the tactic & its intent, but, no, I'm not going to disclose an exploit.

Suffice it to say that the abuse of game mechanics was both serious & unbalancing enough to warrant the change.

Of course not, no one was requesting you to explain yourself... we were only speculating... and I'm apparently not worth my salt because I have no idea what you were getting at. I believe you when you say it was necessary... but alas... I am often left wondering in this game, how in the hell the griefer/exploiter came up with the action to begin with? I guess my mind just doesn't play in those fields.

That said... they did not need to be tamable anyway... it's a mini champ spawn... no champ spawn areas allow taming. So I was surprised that this was even an issue.
