Placing my order for imbued black staff

I have always loved the black staff; two handed weapon, with whirlwind and 2.75s endogenous swing and damn sharp looking. Who could ask for more?

So, though it may cost a fortune, perhaps my stash of black staves, which has been accruing for nearly ten years, can finally be put to good use with a little help from imbuing.

I know I have several old black staves that have no mods. I probably have a couple that have mods that would be conducive to several template schemes.

For a sampire with adequate HLD and DCI I think I would order up:

SSI
DI
HSL
HML
HLA

I would be interested in seeing what Black Staff recipe others would find ideal for specific templates and situations.

Guess the only way to make a staff like that, is looting a black staff off a monster first since you can't make them...yet (hopefully some day!)

Yes, my stash is derived from monster loot. I have collected them regardless of mods for a long time.

I am assuming they can be imbued. Perhaps the author here in error was.

Is there any official reasoning for why they cannot be manufactured by players?

Dunno... I think it's ridiculous though. It'd be nice to be able to craft them. And cleavers (runic) too.

I'm also a fan of the Black Staffs, I use them on my sampire. Only got 2...

Main one is: 34 DI, 15 SSI, 38 HLD, 38 HML, 1 FC
Other is: 14 DI, 15 SSI, 6 HCI, 24 HLD, 20 HML

With 150 Stamina both swing at the cap, I hope they do finally make them craftable and imbueable, I'd like some slayer ones some day. Can but hope! hehe.

I always liked the old Glacial Staffs that spawned in Ice dungeon. With the spell specials those had and a little love in the form of runics or imbuing, maybe they could be something useful.
