Ping to EA servers

There was another thread a couple of months ago about how bad people are pinging. Most of the people were having problems on the ALTER.NET servers. Was anything official ever said about any of this? It's getting pretty ridiculous. I know of a few people that have stopped playing because of it and I can't see myself paying almost $30 a month for my two accounts when Europeans are outrunning me on an East Coast shard.

There's been so many threads about ALTERNET and the lag it causes. The next few hours are the worst for me (right during primetime of course). I pretty much just accepted the fact that I can't really do much during that time.

And nope, nothing ever gets said, because unfortunately it's not EA's problem and I really doubt they can do anything to fix it.

I thought about calling Comcast and see if they would do anything, but I'm sure they'll just blow me off and from the threads last year about this same damn problem some people did contact their ISP's and of course nothing changed.
