Pinco's UI Questions

First I would like to say, I'm amazed at how versatile this UI is. Alot of the tools that are being added seem to be a convenience in some cases more so than a necessity, where others seem to take the place of what was before, not so essential but is now paramount.

I had a couple of questions and I thought maybe other people would too. One of the problems that I've been having lately is having to hold down CTRL and Shift so that I can get the object handlers up. It might not seem like a big deal but in one week I have looted over 400 essence. So, i'm going to estimate well over 1,000 corpses looted.

What I do is, lead everything to me and then kill it. So, I have a pile of about 20 corpses then I hold down the 2 keys and open up all of the bubbles, then as I loot I take the gold and the essence and then close the loot corpse.

What I have found is that my hand is getting tired and I think it might be from holding these 2 keys down but it might not be because the hand is always in constant use. So, my question is, would there be a way around holding these 2 keys down during the process of opening up the corpses?

For example: An option that you could set that would automatically put the bubble on the screen. So, upon death of the spawn an object handle would appear. This to me, would not be a problem because when you click it, it closes.

Also, another thing, when you're finished and you have maybe 20 corpses on the ground you could push CTRL and Shift one time and all of the bubbles would appear and stay showing rather than once you release the 2 buttons they all disappear again so that you would have to repush the 2 buttons again to check what was looted and what was not looted. This way, again as you click on the bubbles they will disappear off of the screen. So, again, I would not have a problem with them staying on the screen rather than having to push the buttons again.

And I have one more question. The Alpha allows you to fade hot bars by setting them individually. Is there a way to set the hot bar to fade automatically so that when you mouse over it, it appears you push the icon and then once the mouse leaves the hot bar becomes invisible again.

This is important to me maybe not to many people because my icons are actually on the play screen. So, while I plan my desk tops I have to keep many off to the sides or around the edges of the play center. It would be nice if they would auto hide in some cases. For example: Clusters of spells, slayer weapons, spell books, rune books, even the bag icon. I know where these icons are, so, I do not need to see them but I was just wondering if that would be possible.

Thank you for your time in reading my concerns. Zyon

Can't be done by script.

If I get a pile of corpses I have a hot button for loot next corpse. I just pop them all up and loot away.

Thank you Pinco for all of the work you have done. You have opened a world that only those who have used your UI can experience.

Thank you Silent. I was hoping for something that would be connected to the object handlers because they verify when closed, if I have looted the corpse or not.

My looting macro targets nearest object then uses nearest object. So, there were some issues with those macros. I have on the side of my mouse target self, target nearest object, use nearest object, target nearest object, use nearest object.

So, this is great for opening up a loot or door or any object that you might be close to that you wish to activate or to use a heal target or other spell target on yourself.

The problem with just using this as the opener for loot it only uses 2 and when I created the loot macro, which does 15 or 20, it's hard to say if all of the loots are open. If only there was a way to tie it to the object handler, you could check to see if they had been open.

But I guess I will stick with the looter macro, at least it will save me the pain of having to hold down the keys for long periods of time. So, thank you for reminding me of the best solution for the time.
