im not playing potbs yet, dunno people say its very repetitive and doesnt offer much exploring, whats your take on it ?

First time (in beta) i tried it I got the word clunky out of it from about an hour of toying with it. Comparing to other games and the ease of use. Took me a week or so to give it a new shot. Once i did i got drug into it pretty good. Towards the end of beta they let everyone skill up to try the high end content and i enjoyed that enough to pre order. The economy is complex and completely player generated I am trying to get all learned on ship building etc. I like the notion of being able to design your own ship and flags.
The pvp can be either ship or person which is kinda cool. The missions are kinda repetitive They have zones which kinda sucks. Housing is coming but not in yet so far i am liking it after about a month of playing it
That gives it a better score than every MMO i have tried except UO and WoW cause i have played it the third longest (my opinion)

Who really does?

Sometimes people should take a month off... pick up a PS2 game and just play that till they beat it then come back to UO.

I dunno why playing other games or what not needs to spell the perma death of your UO character...


People act like 10 bucks a month is going to put them in bankruptcy at times.. I spend that on lunch any given day of the week.

As a policy, I do not mind Siege folks posting about meeting up in other games. Servers and such. But actually discussing the game, tactics and other elements of another game belong elsewhere. Just so you know.

meh, without breaking too many rules ill just say i played 'a beta' and was sadly disappointed. Their overuse of strange UDP connections resulted in odd packet loss in conjunction with specific routers... My router was one of those routers. Sure, the devs were hands on in trying to fix it but still, not being able to do a thing on the OS got boring quick.

Maybe its better now but...

Despite what people may try to claim, it is a voluntary pvp game.
As long as you avoid well defined pvp areas, and you dont sail with your pvp flag set, you are off the hook. (aka, lame)
