Pigments of tokuno, lesser

I don't understand. What are the lesser pigment of tokuno who seems to be silver??
It's say only "pigment of Tokuno".
Have they some utilities?
If i dye some item with them what happens? Silver??
But the name it's not "silver". Only "pigment on Tokuno".
