Petra/Stratics Staff Suggestion

Greetings,

I have a suggestion to make regarding the UO2Stritics site.

At the Top you have links with Dropdowns for News, Shards, Trade, and the like... but the one that is missing that I wish there was a link to you do not have.

Could you please add a drop down for the EM Forum links?

This would help me a bunch!

While this is going on, will there be a lot of missing old Stratics posts?
More and more of my bookmarks say Page Not Found

From what I understand Sevin, the board is not affected. Some pages on U.stratics.com or uo2.stratics.com however may be missing

The boards should not be effected the info you are trying to link may have been moved for another reason what exactly did that link go to?

Nothing about the forums has changed. Our CMS (formerly Drupal, now WordPress) and our forum software (vBulletin) are completely separate. They're on two separate subdomains, one of which was untouched throughout the process. There's no bridge between the two at the moment.

Not sure what the deal is with those links. I do note that they begin with "board.stratics.com", which is no longer a valid subdomain. Perhaps these bookmarks were created prior to our transition to vbulletin (hence, vboards.stratics.com). If that is the case, any board.stratics.com bookmarks will have stopped working after the transition (was that in 2006 or 2007?).

Thanks, figured it'd be simple. Tracked one down to a Pub38 quests spoiler - that's 2006'ish. guess that means probably safe to delete all, and just start over.

May 2008, after the "Great OOPS!" knocked us down in April.

I was working on the Mining FAQ revision LITERALLY as Stratics went BOOM! I went to save, and it wasn't there any more...

Sorry that happened. We're in the process of testing a new forum software, which means bookmarks may break again. However, the transition plan will be fully tested to prevent another massive crash/post loss/mayhem/etc.
