Pet trapped in a crystal

I have seen these around and I'm wondering what they are used for? How much do they sell for..I have searched all over for info on these with no luck..Your my last hope Obi Wan

They are recieved as loot from peerlees bosses. They don't really do anything, aside from become tamed and bonded to the individual who uses the crystal.

The dog, does have one unique feature though, which is it will take on the appearance of random individuals around it including anything they are wearing or holding.

Last I saw albino squirrels were going for around 150k a pop
Pointless white squirrel if you ask me.

Dog's were going for about a mil or so, some places more.
Acts like a changeling but will also morph into animals.
