Pet Peeves

I have two.

First, people who don't respond to e-mails. Communication is important, especially when I'm trying to wrangle a staff of 80 part-timers and volunteers spread across 15 websites. I have two full-time jobs and receive over 500 e-mails a day. I rarely miss responding to them.

Second, and more pointedly, eating/drinking noises. I have twice average hearing; I hear everything. This may qualify for more than a pet peeve, because it impacts my daily behavior. Specifically, unless there's mood music or enough clamor to drown out the noise, I do not eat around other people. I will not do it. My day job, people crunch their food and slurp their drinks around me for nine straight hours every day. I wear ear plugs the entire time, and if I can hear them through my ear plugs, I will leave my job and use my precious annual leave to get away from them. I cannot do it.

OH NOS!!!!!!!!! I'm one of those people who don't respond to e-mails I don't even read them. When I log in to my e-mail accounts which could be over 4 months or then I delete it all.Someone would have a better chance to get a hold of me here on the forums I try to read everything here, and reply to others private messages.

I hate when others put their hands in my popcorn the things that run through my head ugh !!! I end up getting another empty paper bag pouring more popcorn kernels in it and popping it.

My pet peeve is much more broad than most people.... I don't like people who are sheep and must do whatever the flock is doing. I deal with it daily at work and driving in my car. Obviously, I don't make decisions to eat what a TV/Movie star is eating nor wear whatever the latest trend in fashion happens to be at this given moment.

Also, I think it's "peeves" not "pev" is that one of your pet peeves too? Grammar policing?

Food eating sounds, yes that's a big one for me too.
People who underestimate me or don't give me credit for knowledge.
Bad drivers. I am a road rage queen, very very bad.
Uneducated people. Note I didn't say stupid people although that get's a gold star. But people who choose to type like "my kid is lack toast n tolerant" make my head hurt.
People who form opinions based solely on what their friends or family teach them. If you have an opinion about politics, abortion, religious topics, etc I can respect that... if and only if you have educated yourself on the topic.
People who post to social media trying to be a bad-ass.

Gorgeous, educated, suited-up men who sing and play the piano but happen to be happily married.
People who judge me first and get to know me second, or don't get to know me at all.

People who promise to do something, you wait weeks for them to do it, and then end up doing it yourself.
I'd rather they said up front that they can't or won't, then I can do it myself without the long delay. Or if they think they can and then find they can't, TELL me, so that I'm not left waiting and waiting for something that's not going to happen.
