Pet Loyalty and Pet Sounds

I've noticed a couple of strange things recently and wonder if anyone else has noticed this as well:

  • A pet that becomes less than "Wonderfully Happy" because it does not have line of sight to its owner when hearing a command seems to be able to return to a "Wonderfully Happy" state without receiving food from its owner if it regains line of sight to its owner. This also seems to be the case if the owner gives a very limited number of commands to the pet while taming/lore skills have dropped. In other words, giving one command to the pet while skill modifiers are off will drop its loyalty rating to "Extremely Happy." The pet will go back to Wonderfully Happy after hearing the next command that is made with skill modifiers re-equipped.
  • Some pets sometimes seem to lose their voice when responding to a command when their loyalty is less than "Wonderfully Happy." They make no sound at all.
  • The sounds a hiryu makes when less than "Wonderfully Happy" are often the same sounds it makes when "Wonderfully Happy."

These may seem like minor issues. However, I'm concerned about the possibility that in the situations described under the first bullet, there may be a real glitch with the display of the loyalty ratings and that the pet may not actually be all that content. I would feel more secure using pets if a developer could confirm if some changes were actually made and what I'm seeing in these two situations with respect to a pet's loyalty rating isn't just a fluke. Was something changed, perhaps to make up with problems caused by changes in terrain and programming for line of sight? It used to be that if you continued to give commands to a pet that was less than "Wonderfully Happy," its loyalty rating would steadily decrease; I've never experienced a situation until recently where it reverted back to "Wonderfully Happy" without feeding the pet.

I would also like to know if something has changed with the programming for the sounds pets make. Although I lore my pets fairly often while using them, I have learned to also listen to the sounds they make as a backup system for determining if they have lost loyalty. It would be helpful to know if I can no longer rely on my tamers' pets to make noises that consistently reflect their loyalty rating.

As far as I know it has always been the case that issuing a successful command will raise loyalty. Depending on how far it has dropped it may take several successes, but they do add up.
