Pet Deeds Revisited

This was discussed back before I left. However, it is an idea that deserves to be kept on the radar, so with that in mind, I thought I'd post my ideas with regard to pet deeds. For those who don't know, the basic idea is that you could deed pets so that they could be sold on a vendor.

So in my opinion this is how it could work.

- You visit a stable master, with a blank scroll in your pack, and you can deed a pet that is in your stable. The option would be on the context menu for the stable master.

- Once your pet is deeded it can be claimed using the deed at a stable, or if the deed is destroyed. If you remove the pet from the stable, the deed is destroyed.

- Double clicking the deed brings up a pet lore gump with all the pet's stats, including a rendering of the pet model/picture. You must meet the animal lore prerequisites to get the full pet lore gump, if you don't the gump will only show the rendering of the pet model/picture.

- If a deed is dropped, it is destroyed, and it can only be removed from a container, transferred, or removed or purchased from a vendor by someone with the prerequisites to own and stable the pet.

- Anyone who picks up, purchases, or receives a pet deed in any way automatically has the pet transferred to their stable. As already stated, in order to pickup, purchase, or receive a pet deed in any way the character that receives it must meet the skill prerequisites to own the pet, and must have a space available in their stable.

- Until the pet is transferred to someone else's stable by transferring the deed, the pet remains in the owner's stable, taking up a a stable slot.

And those are my ideas. I've covered all the potential pitfalls and exploits that I can think of.

Discuss.

I would love that. It would make making money by selling pets so much easier. Tossing some deeds on a vendor with the stats and color viewable would be great. I would also like to see Taming Bulk Orders.
