Personal Attendant Problems

Since we can't get into the game maybe someone can help me. I just got a personal attendant token off a vendor. After messing around with it forever I got it where I wanted it, facing the way I want. It's standing behind a bar that came with the custom house I built. So I set it to herald and clicked the button for the herald message. Problem is it doesn't say anything. Just stands there. Tried it with my other account and it says nothing. Wondering if it's an issue cause of the servers being messed up today or what. Driving me nuts. Anyone have any answers to this? Another odd thing is I heard you can turn it by saying it's name, that doesn't work either.

Have you tried it outside of the bar? It's probably that there are items blocking it in, and you can't see what it's saying because it's technically in another room. Something like that. I don't know how else to describe it.

If it doesn't already have an open tile, try opening one up and check if you can see the herald call. Failing that, post a screenshot and see if it can be troubleshooted.

if my memory severs me correctly they only 'herald' once to every new person (per day?) and you have to be within a certain amount of tiles for them to go off.

Not sure what you mean by an open tile. There's a bar section in the front of her and to the left side. Her back and right side have an "open tile". It didn't appear to be working when she was in the open either. Only thing I haven't tried was outside the house yet in my vendor area.

To Poo, once a day would be great Haven't be able to get into the game since I posted this, so she may have quit and moved on by now I suppose if the servers never come back it's a mute point anyway, lol.

The other problem is. Yuu can have only one PA up. Even if you have more than one token used.

Yup. I knew about that. Perhaps it will work after reset but I doubt that's the problem. There's a lot of weird little quirks that happen with these things from what I read. I'll keep messing with it when I get the chance. If I get it working I'll post something. I probably just need to relocate it or hit the buttons in a certain order or something. I'm just a little surprised no one else had this issue before.

Last I checked, you won't be able to see what the herald says if it's completely surrounded - blocked in - by customised walls or certain path-blocking objects. That may not be the issue you're having, but it's something to consider if you hadn't before.

Again I really appreciate Caelyr's efforts (and everyone else's ). Anyway, yes if I put it on the front porch it works fine. So it's working, just not the way I want it to. Or I should say where I want it to. Here is a theory I have... they seem to have a long range in picking up on someone being on the property. I'm thinking I hit the front steps, and by the time I can hit the doors and make it into the house their message might of happened and disappeared. Probably not, but something I want to check out. So my attendant is happily announcing on the front porch now. I was finally able to verify this when I was home and someone stopped by my vendors. I do think I want it to follow me around when shopping for a day or two till I get annoyed by it, lol. It can say some funny stuff. Should be able to dress them and turn them. That was a big mistake. If they're gonna be forced to hold a lantern it should be lit. But I really like the thing lol. I mean it plays games, tells your fortune, and all sorts of stuff. I realize I joined this attendant party really late, but it's a cool thing.

don't over look the fun you can have with a bar keep. I have one set up as a gypsy fortune teller.
Tell her 'hello' and she'll offer to tell your fortune for a little gold
Drop 5gp on her and she'll ask you to choose the crystal ball or the cards.
Say 'ball' or 'cards' and she'll give you her predictions
