Peerless Mini bosses target locks unbreakable

I mean like Abscess or Sir Patrick or any of them. Once they locked on to you you cant break it. If you die and come back they are still on you. If you stealth in they are on you. Hide and then run, they follow you. Invis and then run, they follow you. Can someone explain why we cant break Target lock on these things?
